GET STARTED · GES FREE
Install GES Free, add GES Pro if you have a paid plan, connect a supported assistant, and make one small text update with an exact preview and a verified result.
Before you begin
You’ll need administrator access to your WordPress website and an AI assistant that supports a GES connection. Assistant accounts and any associated charges are separate. GES Free does not require a GES account.
1. Install GES Free
GES Free is the foundation and must remain active if you later add GES Pro.
- Download GES Free.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Select the ZIP, install it, then activate GES Free.
- Install and activate the WordPress MCP Adapter.
2. Install GES Pro
If you have a paid plan, GES Pro extends GES Free with paid-plan capabilities. It does not replace GES Free.
- Download the protected GES Pro ZIP from your GES account.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Select the Pro ZIP, then install and activate GES Pro.
- Keep GES Free installed and active.
Installing GES Pro does not expand WordPress or MCP permissions automatically. Available operations still depend on your plan, connection permissions, WordPress capabilities and supported adapters.
3. Connect your assistant
Open GES in WordPress and use the connection information provided by your installed version to set up your supported assistant’s MCP connection. Review the requested permissions and connect only the website you intend to use. Setup screens vary by assistant.
Once connected, ask:
“Check the connected website, my current plan and permissions. Tell me which operations are available. Make no changes.”
Check that the assistant reports the correct website before continuing.
4. Read the target first
Choose one short paragraph on a test page you control. Ask your assistant to read that page and show the exact existing text. Supply the page URL so the target is unambiguous.
5. Preview a small change
“On [page URL], replace the exact text [existing text] with [replacement text]. Prepare a reviewed Job and show me the exact change before applying it.”
Review the target page, existing text and replacement. Confirm that the proposal changes only what you requested. If the page has changed since the preview, request a fresh preview.
6. Approve and verify
Authorize the exact reviewed change. GES applies it only when the required plan, permission, confirmation and live-state checks pass. Ask the assistant to report the Job result and read the saved page back.
Success looks like: the Job row is DONE, the saved text matches your approved replacement, and the correct page remains in its intended publication state. Open the page in WordPress to check the result.
If something stops
Connection unavailable: confirm GES is active and check the assistant connection configuration against the information shown by your installation.
Operation unavailable: ask which plan, connection permission, WordPress capability or adapter is missing. Availability depends on all of them.
Outcome uncertain: inspect the saved page and execution evidence before retrying. A failed verification does not always mean no change occurred.
